This jewellery stand in American Black Walnut and Oak was requested by our Sister in Law, to allow her to hang up necklaces and other jewellery items. This is her birthday gift, which will be delivered today. The scalloped base also provides a home for those smaller items needing a home on the dressing table.
Next I need to make something with nice straight edges and corners – these curves are exhausting!

Beautiful workman ship and practical too. I admit the blogpost title did make me chortle!

These are stunning! Sister in Law is so lucky. Walnut is such a beautiful wood. Can you get Claire to tell me what piping nozzle she used for those cupcakes in your banner at the moment?

Hi Sarah, hope Catty is going okay. The cake shop had sold out of the proper piping bag nozzles for buttercream so I used a disposable piping bag that came with the starry nozzle with 8 points on it. You have to have the buttercream quite soft though or the bag bursts! Icing everywhere!

Just beautiful. Do you make all this stuff for sale or just for your home/ for fun?

Thanks for the comments ladies…for some reason pieces with lots of curves always seem to elicit more feedback. In answer to the last question, no I am not a commercial operation this is just for fun. Cheers, Ed.
