Preparing corn tortillas is a family affair, George is particularly good at shaping and pressing them, whilst I do the griddling. Ed is usually on chopping and beer opening detail.

I love beetroot. Back in the 70's when on holiday I used to fill my plate with purple vinegary slices because it was something I recognised. These candy striped Choggia roots take my beety love to a whole new level.

Nothing is easier than gin fizz. I tell a lie, drinking gin straight from the bottle is easier but I am told that it's frowned upon and I should really get a glass. Also, you've got to get your five a day from somewhere, so why not from cocktails?
